Dry Needling in Vermont for Pain Relief & Improved Muscle Function

A highly effective technique to release tension, speed recovery, and help you get back to the activities you love.

Dry Needling in Stowe, Vermont

What Is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a targeted treatment that uses thin, sterile needles to release tight muscles, reduce pain, and improve mobility. It works by stimulating trigger points and encouraging your body’s natural healing response.

Whether you're dealing with chronic tightness, acute pain, or movement limitations, dry needling can help restore normal muscle function so you can return to training or daily activities with less discomfort.

Don't Let Pain Control Your Life

When a needle is placed into a trigger point, it creates a quick reset in the muscle, improving movement and reducing discomfort. We use dry needling to:

  • Release Trigger Points & Muscle Knots so tight muscles can finally relax.

  • Improve circulation and reduce inflammation to support faster healing

  • Restore mobility and proper muscle activation for better strength and movement

  • Decrease pain caused by overuse, training volume, or injury

Most people feel relief immediately or within the next 24 hours, especially when dry needling is combined with targeted mobility and strength work.

Why Choose Summit for Dry Needling?

At Summit, dry needling is never performed as a stand-alone treatment. It’s part of a complete, performance-focused plan designed specifically for active individuals.

Strength-Based Rehabilitation

We integrate dry needling with mobility work, corrective exercises, and strength training to create long-lasting results, not just temporary relief.

Personalized Movement Assessment

Every session begins with a full evaluation so we can identify the root cause of your pain and tailor the treatment to your sport and activity level.

Michele Mannino PT, DPT

Owner, Physical Therapist

  • Michele has known she wanted to be a physical therapist since she was 14 years old. After spending several months (ahem, years) in PT from various sports injuries, her interest was piqued. In 2008 she became a Certified Personal Trainer but quickly knew she wanted to learn more. She went back to school for Physical Therapy and received her doctorate degree from the University of Vermont in 2014. She has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics ever since. She loves working with active, motivated individuals who are eager to learn more about their bodies and how to heal them.

When not treating patients, you can find her mountain biking, running, snowboarding or spending time with her partner, Rob, and their dog, Walter.

Mila Deych PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

  • Mila is a doctor of physical therapy and strength and conditioning specialist who is passionate about getting you back to doing what you love confidently and without pain! Mila has extensive training in a variety of orthopedic injuries as well as pelvic floor rehabilitation and concussion management.

Mila has spent the last 3 years living in the Tetons treating outdoor athletes of all ages and abilities and she is thrilled to bring her knowledge to the motivated people of Vermont!

In her time away from Summit PT, Mila is always in motion, whether snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, wheel throwing average pottery or finding a new recipe to chef up that her partner John (usually) enjoys! Mila can’t wait to make Vermont her new home and meet all of you.

Brian Montgomery PT, DPT, OCS

Physical Therapist

He graduated from the DPT program at Springfield College in 2012 and is an APTA board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Brian has worked with people of all ages and skill levels including youth athletes, busy parents, weekend warriors, and elite olympic athletes.

His areas of expertise include foot and ankle injuries, custom orthotic fabrication, running technique training, weight lifting mechanics, and enhancement of whole-body awareness and control to improve overall athleticism and movement performance.

Brian grew up near the Poconos in north-western New Jersey. Between high school sports and college football, Brian is no stranger to training, performing, becoming injured, rehabilitating, and ‘getting back on the horse’ to do it again for the love of sport. Brian, his wife and three children enjoy spending time outdoors with their pups doing the same things you love to do; playing on the mountains, paddling in lakes and swimming holes, and enjoying local VT food and drink.
